Welcome to 2026 at the Harwich Museum and Lighthouse Tea Bar.
This year we celebrate our 5th anniversary since we opened.
Following on from a successful 2025, we reopen on Wednesday 4th March with new exhibits on Trinity House, local hero Peter Firmin and Pearle Foote Accordion Orchestra whilst other popular displays including Kindertransport and Hi-de-Hi! have been retained.
Our dedicated and enthusiastic group of volunteers have worked tirelessly on the displays, as well as other improvements and enhancements to ensure that the museum is ready to reopen on time and looking its best.
We look forward to welcoming you to the museum this year to enjoy our ever-evolving displays, as well as to the numerous events and presentations that are planned.
This year we are open Wednesday to Sunday every week between 10.00am and 4.00pm with last entry and service in tea bar at 3.00pm.
