Welcome to the summer season at the Harwich Museum.
We have had a busy spring with numerous well attended presentations, as well as a sell-out Hi-de-Hi! event and a successful day commemorating the 85th anniversary of Harwich Evacuees leaving the town during World War II. If you haven’t seen our blue plaque on Harwich Railway Station or our new display in the museum please take a look.
Just a reminder our opening days this year are Wednesday to Sunday (shut Monday & Tuesday) each week. The opening time each day will be 10.00 am until 4.00pm with last entry to Museum and last Lighthouse Tea Bar orders at 3.00pm. Outside seating is also available for customers.
We continue to put together a full programme of presentations for the rest of the year but to start with for the next couple of months:
This weekend, the 5th & 6th July, is the towns Secret Gardens event with numerous gardens open each day between 11.00am & 4.00pm, its well worth having a look.
The Museum will be open both days as well so plenty to do in town.
The next monthly quiz night takes place on Thursday 10th July at 7.30pm (doors open at 7.00pm) at the United Services Club.
