March 2024 at the Harwich Museum and Lighthouse Tea Bar

Spring is fast approaching and with it hopefully some drier weather!

We reopened on Wednesday 21st February and since that time have been very busy both in the Museum and Lighthouse Tea Bar. The new exhibits have been really well received by visitors which is really pleasing, it makes all the hard work worthwhile. So, thank you if have paid us a visit and if you haven’t been yet please come and see us soon.

Just a reminder that this year we are open Wednesday to Sunday every week between 10.00am and 4.00pm with last entry and service in tea bar at 3.15pm plus we have kept admission and annual ticket prices the same as last year.

For those of you wishing to renew your annual tickets you can still do so at reception on any of our opening days.

Our next presentation will be a talk on Ray Island by David Whittle on Saturday 23rd March at 11.00am.

On Saturday 30th March at 11.00am, we have a talk by Karl Lumbers on Trinity House.

Both the Hi-de-Hi! events on 20th & 21st April have sold out, however we are operating a waiting list in case any places become available.

Wednesday 24th April at 11.00am sees the first talk on the Train Ferries by David Whittle. The actual day of the 100th anniversary since the train ferry service from Harwich started running.

The second Train Ferries talk will be on Saturday 27th April at 11.00am.

Seats for all presentations need to be booked.

Please email groupbookings@harwichmuseum.co.uk  to book your event tickets and/or reserve your seat at one of our presentations.

Our next quiz night will be held at the United Services Club on 11th April starting at 7.30pm, £2.00 per person with a maximum of 6 in a team.

The website and social media are regularly updated so please check for details.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you soon.
